JD STATUS PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. General Information
1.1. The JD STATUS customer rewards program (hereinafter the "Program") is organized and offered in Cyprus by the company named "COSMOSSPORT TRADING (CYPRUS) LIMITED," with VAT number CY10420220T and registration number HE 420220, headquartered at Archiepiskopou Kyprianou & Agiou Andreou Street, 1, LOUKAIDES BUILDING, 2nd Floor, Apt/Office 21, 3036, Limassol, Cyprus (hereinafter the "Company," "JD," "we" or "us"). The Company operates stores under the JD SPORTS brand in Cyprus.
1.2. By registering and/or participating in the Program, you accept these Terms and Conditions, as applicable from time to time.
1.3. These Terms govern exclusively your participation in the loyalty program and do not replace or limit the website terms of use, purchase terms, returns policy, or privacy policy, which apply concurrently, as applicable.
2. What is JD STATUS
2.1. JD STATUS is a customer loyalty program through which participants can collect reward units called JD Cash from purchases and/or promotional activities and redeem them on future purchases, in accordance with these Terms.
2.2. JD Cash constitutes a non-monetary reward benefit. It is a reward in the form of a discount redeemable on subsequent purchases. It does not constitute electronic money, a bank deposit, a credit balance that can be withdrawn, or any independent monetary claim against the Company.
2.3. The Program is available through the channels designated by the Company from time to time, including indicatively through the Cypriot website https://www.jdsports.cy (JD Sports Cyprus), the customer account and/or physical stores participating in the Program.
3. Eligibility
3.1. Natural persons who have reached 18 years of age and have full legal capacity are eligible to participate in the Program. For natural persons who have reached the age of 16, parental consent must have been obtained, under the responsibility and care of the natural person.
3.2. Participation is personal, free of charge, and intended exclusively for private/consumer use. Participation for resale purposes, commercial exploitation, or abuse of the Program is not permitted.
3.3. The Company may refuse registration, suspend, or delete a participant's account if it determines a violation of these Terms, provision of false information, fraudulent or abusive conduct, or use of the Program in violation of the law.
4. Registration and Account
4.1. Participation in the Program requires the creation or maintenance of an active customer account and the provision of the information requested during the registration process.
4.2. Participants are required to provide accurate, truthful and up-to-date information and to notify the Company of any changes thereto.
4.3. Participants are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account access credentials and for all activity occurring through their account, unless they prove that such activity is due to reasons outside their sphere of responsibility.
5. Awarding JD Cash
5.1. JD Cash is awarded on product purchases and/or special promotional activities determined by the Company on a case-by-case basis.
5.2. The Company determines from time to time:
• the percentage or method of calculating JD Cash,
• the categories of products or transactions that are excluded,
• the point in time at which JD Cash becomes available for use,
• any special restriction or condition associated with a specific promotion.
5.3. Unless expressly stated otherwise, JD Cash:
• is not awarded on shipping costs, gift wrapping, or other additional charges,
• is not awarded on gift cards or other product or service categories that the Company may exclude from time to time,
• is not awarded on transactions that are cancelled, not completed, or deemed suspicious of fraud or abuse.
5.4. In the event of a full or partial return of products, cancellation of a purchase, or refund, the Company is entitled to deduct the corresponding JD Cash awarded and/or used in relation to the specific purchase. If the relevant JD Cash has already been redeemed, the Company may offset the corresponding amount against future JD Cash and/or deduct it from any refund.
6. Redemption of JD Cash
6.1. Available JD Cash may be redeemed exclusively on eligible future purchases through participating sales channels, provided that 14 calendar days have elapsed since the purchase, and up to 90% of the purchase value, in accordance with the terms in force at the time of redemption.
6.2. The Company may determine:
• a minimum purchase amount for redemption,
• a maximum JD Cash amount per transaction, set at €200. Any remaining JD Cash balance may be redeemed in a subsequent transaction.
• excluded product categories,
• time limitations or other reasonable conditions of use.
6.3. JD Cash:
• is not exchangeable for cash,
• is not paid out in the event of account cancellation or termination of the Program, except to the extent expressly provided otherwise in these Terms,
• may not be transferred, sold, or assigned to third parties.
7. Validity Period of JD Cash
7.1. Unless otherwise specified at the time it is awarded, JD Cash remains valid for a period of six (6) months from the date on which it becomes available for use. Upon expiry of the 6-month period, the JD Cash shall cease to be valid.
7.2. Following the expiry of the above period, any unused JD Cash shall automatically expire and be deleted, without giving rise to any obligation on the part of the Company to provide compensation or make any monetary payment.
7.3. The Company may, at its sole discretion, extend the validity of JD Cash for specific promotions or categories of members, provided that this is expressly announced.
8. Special Promotions and Campaigns
8.1. The Company may from time to time organize special promotional activities, bonus multipliers, boosts, contests, prize draws or other campaigns within the framework of the Program.
8.2. Each such activity may be governed by specific terms, which shall be published as applicable and shall prevail in the event of any conflict with these general terms, solely in relation to the specific subject matter they regulate.
9. Proper Use of the Program
9.1. Any use of the Program that is contrary to good faith, its intended purpose or the law is prohibited, including, but not limited to:
• creating multiple accounts for the same individual in order to obtain an unfair benefit,
• using automated means, scripts, bots or technical interventions,
• submitting false or misleading information,
• commercially offering, reselling or exchanging JD Cash or Program benefits,
• abusing product returns or manipulating promotional activities.
9.2. In the event of suspicion or detection of fraud, abusive practices, violation of these Terms or unlawful use, the Company shall be entitled to:
• temporarily suspend or terminate participation,
• cancel JD Cash that has been awarded and/or redeemed,
• refuse to grant Program benefits,
• take any other lawful measure to protect its interests.
10. Modification or Termination of the Program
10.1. The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms, the features of the Program, the method of calculating or redeeming JD Cash, eligible purchases and/or any other aspect of the Program's operation, for important commercial, technical, operational or legal reasons.
10.2. Any material amendment shall be communicated in an appropriate manner through the website and/or the member's account before it takes effect, unless immediate implementation is required for reasons of regulatory compliance, security or fraud prevention.
10.3. The Company may suspend or permanently discontinue the Program. In the event of permanent discontinuation, reasonable efforts shall be made to provide prior notice and, where practically possible, a reasonable period for the use of unexpired JD Cash.
10.4. Continued participation in the Program following the effective date of amendments constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Withdrawal from the Program
11.1. A participant may withdraw from the Program at any time by submitting a relevant request through the available customer service channels.
11.2. Upon withdrawal from or deletion from the Program, any available and unused JD Cash shall be deleted, unless otherwise mandatorily provided by applicable law.
12. Personal Data
12.1. The Company processes the personal data of participants in the Program in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the applicable Cypriot and European Union legislation on the protection of personal data. The principles of transparency, information and the exercise of rights are set out in Articles 12 and 13 of the GDPR, while the Cyprus Data Protection Authority expressly refers to this legal framework.
12.2. Data necessary for participation in and operation of the Program are used for:
• creating and managing a member account,
• awarding and redeeming JD Cash,
• customer service and complaint handling,
• fraud prevention and Program security,
• compliance with the Company's legal obligations.
12.3. Where required by law, the Company shall obtain separate consent for marketing communications or other processing activities that are not necessary for the performance of the Program.

13. Limitation of Liability
13.1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company, its affiliates, employees, partners or agents shall not be liable to the participant for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including, without limitation, loss of profits, loss of opportunities, loss of data or loss of anticipated benefits, that may arise from or in connection with:
• participation or inability to participate in the Program,
• use or inability to use JD Cash,
• temporary or permanent interruption or modification of the Program,
• technical malfunctions, system errors or service interruptions.
13.2. The Company shall not be liable for damages resulting from:
• force majeure events,
• acts or omissions of third-party providers (e.g. telecommunications providers, internet service providers),
• unauthorized use of a participant's account, provided that such use is not attributable to any fault of the Company.
13.3. The participant bears sole responsibility for the use of their account and for safeguarding their access credentials.
13.4. Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit the Company's liability:
• for damages caused by fraud or gross negligence,
• for death or personal injury caused by its act or omission,
• for liability arising under mandatory provisions of law.
13.5. These Terms do not affect or limit consumer rights provided under applicable Cypriot consumer protection legislation, including, in particular, provisions relating to standard terms and conditions and unfair commercial practices, as applicable from time to time.
14. Communication and Complaints
14.1. For questions, requests or complaints relating to the Program, participants may contact the Company using the contact details provided on its website and/or in the relevant customer service section (support@jdsports.cy / tel. +0034 22594002).
14.2. The Company shall make reasonable efforts to review each request within a reasonable period of time and in accordance with applicable legislation.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
15.1. These Terms shall be governed by Cypriot law.
15.2. Any dispute arising from or in connection with the Program shall fall within the jurisdiction of the courts of the consumer's domicile or residence where required by mandatory law; otherwise, the competent courts of Cyprus shall have jurisdiction.
16. Final Provisions
16.1. If any provision is held to be invalid, voidable or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
16.2. Any failure by the Company to enforce a provision shall not constitute a waiver of its relevant rights.
16.3. These Terms constitute the entire agreement governing participation in the Program, except for any special terms published in relation to specific promotions.
